1899 $2 Silver Certificate, CGA Choice Uncirculated-64.  F-253.  Napier-McClung signatures.  Bold blue serial numbers, denomination, and Treasury Seal.  The face design recognizes the prosperity of America at the end of the Victorian era, with vignettes of Mechanics and Agriculture.  The portrait of George Washington appears at the center.  Washington died in 1799, a century before the issuance of this type.  From the Harry W.
