coins? What is the "Rarecoinman" doing with less expensive
numismatic material? Well, as I told you, I began collecting in 1956,
and I still have plenty of coins from that simpler era, before certification
services and eleven gradations of mint state. In those days, there were
treasures to be found in circulation, and I garnered my share. So, if
you're a budget-conscious collector or a parent who wants to salt a pile of
modern coins with a few "goodies" for some young maven, these selections may be of interest. I'll be adding more soon.
Update: a dealer bought all the items listed here -- he must have liked my
prices. Though not shown on this site, I do have a collection of Lincoln
cents from 1909 through 1940, missing only the four key dates (1909-S VDB,
1909-S, 1914-D, and 1922 Plain). I also have partial sets of Indian
cents and British half pennies and pennies. Let me know if you're
